iSleepWell: Jailbreak Tweak Puts Your iPhone in Airplane Mode When Placed Face Down

iSleepWell is a relatively new jailbreak tweak that puts your iPhone in Airplane mode when placed face down.

The jailbreak tweak developed by xvolks makes use of iPhone's accelerometer to figure out if your iPhone is face up or down, if it detects it is face down then it automatically turns of all your iPhone's radios, which means your beauty sleep won't be disturbed by calls, text messages, emails or push notifications and more importantly it also helps in conserving your iPhone's battery.

When you pick up your iPhone or just turn it around, the jailbreak tweak will turn off Airplane mode. The jailbreak tweak will also tell you when it disables all radios on your iPhone with a voice alert “Airplane Mode,” or when it disables Airplane mode with "Phone is now active" voice alert, which is quite useful to ensure that you don't accidentally put your iPhone in Airplane mode.

You can also configure things like scanning interval, the sensitivity etc via the Settings app.

Check out the demo video of the jailbreak tweak below:

iSleep is available on Cydia for $0.99.

While the idea behind the tweak is quite interesting (conserving iPhone's battery), we would have preferred the option to decide, which radios to disable when the iPhone is placed face down rather than putting it in Airplane mode, which seems to be an overkill from our point of view. For now, we'll use the mute switch to avoid someone disturbing our beauty sleep.

Let us know what you think of the jailbreak tweak in the comments.
