BannerDisable: Jailbreak Tweak Brings “Do Not Disturb” Toggle For Notifications to iOS

Apple introduced the "Do Not Disturb" toggle in OS X Mountain Lion, which allows users to hide alerts and banner notifications. It's a nifty little feature for those who don't want banners and alerts to disturb them while writing an important email or while playing a game etc.

Earlier in the week a report also claimed that Apple will include the "Do Not Disturb" toggle in iOS 6.

If you've jailbroken your iOS device, then we've some good news. You don't have to wait for Apple to release iOS 6 to use this feature as jailbreak developer - Ron Melkhior has just released a tweak called BannerDisable, which brings the "Do Not Disturb" toggle to iOS 5.x.x.

You can enable or disable the "Do Not Disturb" toggle via the Settings app, which will hide alerts and banner notifications. The position of the toggle is exactly where it is

BannerDisable is available for free in Cydia.

Kudos to Ron for releasing the jailbreak tweak, it would be great if he can can create a SBSettings toggle for "Do Not Disturb".
